Acrux Soft was created by Frank Chalkling, fishing captain with more than 25 years´ experience at sea. In 1992, during his fishing voyages, Chalkling developed the first version of the software, but continued his self-taught studies, increasing his knowledge of marine technology, maths and graphic programming.

In 2009 he abandoned his career as a seaman and founded Acrux Soft SRL. Currently, Chalkling contributes to the firm with his vast knowledge about the fishing industry, in order to develop products and services used by companies and independent fishers in all five continents.
